A Great part of Finnish Arctic research is done in the University of Helsinki. The main volume of the arctic research is in natural sciences concerning climate change. However, there is also a great variety of research on Arctic cultures and languages in the faculty of Arts. The social science research as well as research on indigenous people in Arctic has been minor until recently, but is now growing.
